I absolutely love going out for breakfast, it gets me up and out of bed in the morning and sets me up for the day. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because when you wake up, the blood sugar your body needs to make your muscles and brain work their best is usually low. Breakfast helps replenish it. Skipping the morning meal can throw off your body’s rhythm of fasting and eating.
I recently visited Nonna’s which is about 20 minutes from my home town but 5 minutes from my work, so it’s very convenient. As well as a restaurant it is also a brassiere, so a lovely place to pop in for a coffee and a cake. Nonna’s explains themselves as a ‘village feel with refined Mediterranean city-style.’ They serve a whole array of food, a lot of it being Italian.
We got sat in the restaurant for breakfast which is absolutely beautiful. The white interior created a classy yet chic feel. Everything down to the cutlery and wine glasses have been carefully thought about.
I ordered the full English and that consisted of two Sausages, two rashes of Bacon, tomatoes, Mushrooms, Eggs and Toast. A BIG plate of food haha. My boyfriend ordered Eggs Florentine which is two poached Eggs and Smoked Salmon on top of toasted sourdough Bread served with Hollandaise sauce and wilted Spinach. Delicious.
The food was cooked to perfection, the restaurant was beautiful and all the servers we came into contact with where more than happy to help. We had such a good experience here, we will 100% be back.
