bareMinerals Blemish Remedy Foundation Review

The excitement of buying new makeup for most of us girls is almost unbearable, and definitely addictive! When we purchase new products (especially when it’s the products we’ve wanted for ages), we often find it hard to admit if they don’t reach our expectations! This is why I decided to wait until I had finished my bareMinerals Blemish Remedy foundation to give you my complete and honest opinion of it.

I LOVE IT (yes, that’s my complete and honest opinion, I repurchased it this weekend).

First things first, the packaging is absolutely beautiful! In a little jar, the lid is completely mirrored and it is the perfect size for chucking in a clutch bag. As well as being cute and pretty, it’s super practical. There’s a mesh netting in the middle and a plastic outer rim to reduce any wastage when applying the foundation to the brush.

When first purchasing this foundation, the bareMinerals make-up artist showed me the swirl, tap and buff method. So basically, you swirl the brush (I use the bareMinerals Blemish Remedy Seamless Buffing Brush – which is a perfect size) in the mesh netting, and then tap the brush on the side of the jar so that any wastage falls into the black, outer rim. You then use the brush to buff the foundation into your skin in circular motions – and it works a treat!

I like my foundation to be light and look natural, whilst providing me with the coverage that I need. This powder foundation is really easy to build, so on days when I have really good skin, I’ll only use a small amount to blend over my face. However, on those break out days or “you look tired” days, I’ll build on the first layer and apply more. Whether I’m looking for a natural day look, or a higher coverage look for a night out, this foundation is absolutely perfect because it’s easy to apply, blend and build to creative the look I require.
A foundation that serves its purpose, what more could we want?

Not only does this foundation tick all the boxes, it smells absolutely delicious. With aspen bark and tea tree oil, this foundation does exactly what it says on the tin and provides a remedy for your blemishes. It helps to promote clearer, healthier-looking skin.

How I wear it:

  1. Cleanse, tone and moisturise my skin.
  2. Use the bareMinerals Blemish Remedy Matte Primer
  3. Apply bareMinerals Blemish Remedy Foundation using the swirl, tap and buff  method on to the skin.
  4. If needed, apply concealer.
  5. Apply Maybelline Matte Maker Mattifying Powder.
  6. Apply Benefit Hervana Blush

This foundation is the best one I’ve ever purchased and gets a big thumbs up from me. Has anyone else tried it? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

  1. I love how your overall look came out, and you can really tell how good the quality of the make up is in your picture- which btw, you’re such a beaut!! Is the lip color the lipstick shown in the picture?
